The purpose of the 82ND Street Association is:

• To establish an organization of business persons thoroughly representative of the business and professional interests along 82nd Street in Lubbock.
• We encourage active participation by local business people and organizations and by local citizens in all things related to 82nd Street business, professional, and industrial development.
• We support our community by giving of our time and participating in philanthropic events that benefit all citizens in and around Lubbock.
• We promote and encourage in association with local governments the revitalization, stabilization and expansion of the infrastructure along 82ND Street in Lubbock.
• We will work to unite the members of the 82ND Street business community and to promote a greater sense of business and social unity and esprit among the 82ND Street Association membership.
